Apalit, Pampanga (June 26, 2005) –Brother Eli Soriano, Presiding Minister of the Members Church of God International (MCGI), announced yesterday that a different kind of debate will be held on Monday (June 27) between Ang Dating Daan and the Seventh-day Adventist Group in the U.S.This is the first time after a very long period that Brother Eli will defend our faith through a formal debate, and also the first time with a foreign minister who is based in the United States. It is believed that with the aid of modern technology like satellite communication and Internet Connectivity, the debate is possible.Brother Eli enthused during yesterday’s Thanksgiving that during the olden days, there are numerous challengers for debate against this faith (ADD) but they have diminished over the years after finding they are no match with us (ADD). Bro. Eli said he requested that the debate adopt a 15-minute cross examination system instead of the American minister’s suggestion of five minutes. He said that our experience with similar discussion will prove that even a 15-minute cross examination is not enough.In related development, MCGI is holding anew a Grand Bible Exposition at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) tomorrow, one month after the breakthrough Worldwide Exposition that was held at the PICC and more than 40 venues nationwide transpired last May 30.Kaanib.net learned the debate will start by 9 am in the Philippines.
